Day 5: Five Golden Goals to Rule Them All
Dec 16, 2025
We’ll admit it — we’re pretty excited that the bird days are behind us.
After four rounds of calling birds, we were really running out of bird puns! But that’s okay, because Day 5 is where things are really start to shine.
This year, we’re setting our sights on the future and laying out Five Golden Goals — the foundation for creating a true gold standard (a new pun – pretty good right?) in workers’ compensation as we head into 2026.
Faster Recovery Times
As we talked about on Day 4, recovery is a journey made up of milestones. Every step forward matters. By celebrating progress and supporting injured workers through each stage, we’re helping speed recovery and restore productivity sooner.
When case managers, nurses, employers, and providers rally around the injured worker, they create a safety net that encourages resilience. This team-based approach not only accelerates healing but also reduces the risk of setbacks. As we learned from Day 4, research consistently shows that early and consistent engagement in return-to-work programs leads to faster recovery times and stronger long-term outcomes.
Strong Partnerships
We’re building bridges across the country by collaborating with medical offices — but not just collaboration. We’re actively emphasizing educating and equipping medical offices to be strong players in the Work Comp space.
Too often, medical providers feel unprepared for the unique demands of workers’ compensation. The paperwork, timelines, communication requirements, and coordination with multiple stakeholders can feel overwhelming. That’s where we step in.
Through customized presentations and hands-on training, we’re creating a baseline of knowledge that helps medical offices streamline their processes and confidently serve injured workers and adjusters alike. We ensure that every office has the tools to:
- Understand the nuances of Work Comp care and how it differs from general medical practice.
- Communicate effectively with case managers, adjusters, and employers to keep recovery plans on track.
- Navigate documentation and compliance requirements on a state-by-state basis with clarity and confidence.
In short, education is the bridge. And when medical offices are empowered with knowledge, the entire Work Comp ecosystem becomes stronger and more efficient.
Teamwork
Success doesn’t come from reacting to challenges after they happen — it comes from anticipating needs, staying ahead of the ball, and building strong connections before issues arise.
Our case managers, employers, and providers don’t just collaborate when problems surface; they work together from the very beginning to set clear expectations and create recovery plans that prevent delays. By being proactive, we reduce friction and keep momentum moving forward.
Proactive teamwork builds trust, strengthens morale, and creates a culture where everyone feels empowered to contribute. It’s not just about responding to it, it’s about setting the pace and raising the standard for what Work Comp can be.
Smarter Processes
We’re investing in internal systems and training techniques to ensure consistency and excellence. Every My Net RN team member has access to — and is required to complete — our Becoming a Workers’ Compensation Case Manager course. This ensures our staff are fully prepared before encountering the nuances of Work Comp, setting a strong foundation for success.
By standardizing training, we ensure that no matter where a team member is located — Pensacola, Russell Springs, Fort Collins, Salt Lake City, or beyond — they’re prepared to handle cases with the same level of expertise and care. This proactive approach reduces errors, simplifies communication, and builds trust with all stakeholders.
Supporting Our Amazing Case Managers
We invest in our case managers’ growth and well-being because we know their impact goes far beyond the workplace. Ongoing education, specialized training, mentorship, and recognition aren’t just programs — they’re ways we make sure our team feel supported and appreciated.
We also recognize that our case managers have full lives outside of Work Comp. They’re mothers, fathers, tennis players, cycle enthusiasts, and so much more. By encouraging balance, celebrating individuality, and respecting the person behind the role, we create a culture where our team feels energized and valued.
Our case managers are more than caregivers — they’re advocates, educators, and leaders. Their ability to combine compassion with clinical expertise is what makes recovery possible. When we honor their humanity and invest in their growth, we’re not just strengthening our team — we’re elevating the entire Work Comp experience.
And you know the part of the song everyone belts out? Fiiiive Golden Rings! Well, for us it’s Five Golden Goals! Faster recovery, stronger partnerships, proactive teamwork, smarter processes, and supporting our amazing nurses.
That’s our gold standard for 2026, and we’re excited to keep building it together.
